'Ghosts of the Near Future' closes this Sunday and de-installed Monday. Already making plans to hunt for stuff for the next project. This is the fun bit where everything is a possibility. We're heading to Bright to checkout second hand stores.

Ghosts of the Near Future-Opening next Friday

Very hectic week ahead to get everything finished for the opening at Linden next friday, 8th April. Problems to solve and back-up plans to be decided. And most likely long hours and little sleep. Its at times like these that I wish i taught the dogs to cook and clean.

'Floating with Sharks' has been accepted for screening in the Australian International Experimental Film Festival to be held over 30th April - 1st May 2011.

Ghosts of the Near Future-Good Progress!

Finally had good weather to do the underwater shoot! Managed to get enough footage before the camera batteries ran flat. Many thanks to long suffering(!) family members Kimberley and Stephan for being my ghosts.
Have now spent the last week editing the video so I can pass it onto the sound designer, Jimi Richardson.

How I envision the installation of 'Ghosts of the Near Future'

Ghosts of the Near Future

- require volunteers to appear in underwater footage for installation to be shown at Linden Gallery in April

- will be shot in vicinity of Half Moon Bay in February

- need to be comfortable swimming underwater

- is part of the Billilla Artist-in-Residence program

Worse Summer Ever!

Weather has been so bad and haven't been able to do the underwater scenes. Feeling anxious! Sun! Wind! be good to me :)

'Floating with Sharks'

is supposed to be showing in Brisbane at QCP which is currently underwater. I feel so 'NOW' and relevant especially since sharks have been spotted in the flood waters (or was that a joke?)
